CAMP - DAY 4! Afternoon/ Evening...

Hi,
Today the students continued their all day adventures and other activities. I went on another hike with students around Lake Cuyamaca near the Stonewall Mine. This was a gold mine operating in the late 1800's. Another beautiful day. It was full of surprises including a deer, turkey, AND rattlesnake sighting. Some students even joined the "hard-core" club -- they ate an apple -- including the core AND stem!
For dinner, students were served their meal by the TEACHERS! Hotdogs, corn on the cob, french fries, and watermelon were served in an outside picnic dinner setting.
Tonight is the talent show. Should be a lot of fun!
Tomorrow the students return home around noon. It has been a great week. It will be sad for many to leave camp, but the kids have gained lots of great experiences. And we know most are looking forward to seeing their families.

**IMPORTANT*** Please remember to be at Parkway before noon on Friday, October 23, to pick up your children!
Thanks!
Mr. Sandoval
