CAMP 2009 - DAY 2!

Hi,
Students woke up for their first full day of camp. They were all pretty excited about the pancake breakfast.
After breakfast students began a full day of activities. Some students went on their "all day adventure" which is a 5-6 hour trip into the outdoors (Don't worry, it's not 5-6 hours of constant hiking!). Other students stayed closer to the school, and participated in nature studies, or began working on wood or rock crafts.
Some students were able to try out brand new activities that include rock climbing (!) and geocaching. Geocaching involves using a GPS device to locate hidden objects. It is a very popular activity all over the world. The rock climbing was great also. Many students had to overcome their fears and go up and down almost-vertical rocks.
All students get to try all the activities at Camp Cuyamaca at some point in the week.
The nighttime activies will include Native American studies (including fire-making!), or nightime walks.
It has been a fun day, and Earth House students are doing a great job.

Mr. Sandoval!
Awesome pictures, thank you so much! I hope Trevor Krahling is not freezing as he refused to take more than one pair of jeans!! Be safe to everyone and have a great week. And thanks again for the "views" into camp.
